  • How do you determine how to spread out the cards?
I may work with a known template, such as the Celtic Cross, or I may lay the cards down as instinct guides me.
  • What does it mean to be a Certified Tarot Reader?
In addition to the many books I have read and the people I have worked with, I also took a four-year course with the International Tarot Foundation that was mentored, required rigorous proofs of ability, required ethics training, and an oath of ethical practice as a Tarot Reader.
  • Why would a lawyer want to read a Tarot reader?
Because Tarot card divination truly works when approached correctly and is properly understood. You may be surprised to learn that there are quite a few lawyers that are also Tarot card readers. I do not use Tarot cards in law practice, nor do I practice law when reading Tarot cards.
  • Is there more to it than reading the images and symbols on the cards?
Yes. Qabalistically, the 22 Major cards correspond to the 22 divine Hebrew letters and 22 Paths on the Tree of Life and the Pip cards to the 10 Sephiroth. The 36 Minor cards each align with 2 of the 72 Angels, a zodiacal sign, an element, and a planet ruling a decan from 0-10 degrees each. A Tarot deck in the Golden Dawn tradition would be meaningfully colored using the four color scales that relate to HVHI, the Four Planes, the four Tarot suits, the four Elements, and the four worlds of the Qabalah. They are known as the King, Queen, Prince, and Princess Color Scales. The colors on the scales align with archetypes and aid in meditation.
  • What do the images on the cards tell you?
We communicate best with the Gods and Angels through images and symbols. Each symbol, color, and artwork has hidden or "occult" meaning. Our thoughts evolve in the astral plane or higher consciousness before manifesting in our physical world. The cards connect with this astral/physical process.
  • Why do you offer to assist the seeker at framing their question?
For a successful divination it is important that we carefully phrase your question to best define what it is you would like to know. I can help you do this. Please begin by generally letting me know what it is you seek. If needed, I will ask a few questions or offer some advice on how the question should be stated. The better we phrase the question the more pertinent will be the reading.
